There are many definitions for a deadbeat, how would you define a deadbeat? I found an interesting article on Terrell Owens and when I searched the term deadbeat, there was an article stating that TO is not a deadbeat but just a father.... Interesting to say the least. Is TO considered a deadbeat by his children mothers because he had to cut their support payments because he is not currently playing?
What are your thoughts about TO?
I would not say that that is the reason that he is a deadbeat. If the mothers were smart they would have been using the money and saving it for the kid, but most of them probably thought of it as extra income and lived above their means.
ReplyDeleteAs long as he is providing for his children both monetarily and emotionally, then he isn't a deadbeat. I'd consider him more of a deadbeat if he just wrote a check evey month.
ReplyDeleteAs an observer, I believe that many different external factors can attribute to TO's financial difficulties. It seems that he has been taken advantage of his whole life. With that said, yes he should have planned his finances better. It is hard to label him a deadbeat by only looking at a small sample size of information. We have all seen a softer size of TO. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AGFeQ60-TY
